MEASUREMENT OF DEFLECTION OF CANTILEVER USING HOLOGRAPHIC INTERFEROMETRY TECHNIQUE
ABSTRACT:
Optical Non-destructive Evaluation Method known as Holographic Interferometry had been used as a measurement tool so that in-plane deflection of cantilever could be measured. This method was based on the interference between rays reflect from the cantilever surface and reference rays. During the measurement, cantilever was set in different reflection length in micron. The pattern of fringes appeared on the hologram plate as result of overlapping initial and disturbed image. These fringes represented maps of surface displacement caused by the pin force on tip that disturbed the cantilever. This technique was relatively sensitive and performed well on in-plane deformation.

Holographic Interferometry, fringe, illumination, observation, beam ratio.
